Legal deposit of posters
In accordance with the Act respecting the Bibliothèque et Archives nationale du Québec and the Regulation respecting the deposit of published documents, makers are required to submit copies of all posters printed to the Bibliothèque. Under this law, 2 copies of each poster must be supplied free of charge to the BAnQ within a specified time of the poster's release date. This deposit enables BAnQ to regroup, archive and assure the distribution of all published Québec heritage documents.
In order to simplify this procedure and to ensure the conservation of this inheritance, Publicité Sauvage, through an agreement with the BAnQ, processes these deposits for its clients. An acknowledgement of delivery is sent by BAnQ to the clients.
